History: Mary Washington’s full name is “Mary Ball Washington” She was the mother of the first president, George Washington. The Mary Washington house located in Fredricksburg Virginia was the very last house she ever lived in before she passed away on August 25th, 1789. Some people who were very important at the time during the Revolutionary war were people like Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and Marquis De Lasayette, John Marshall, and George Mason.
Culture: Some culture representatives that took place with Mary Washington at the Mary Washington house are aspect of Family, Upper class lifestyles, and things like daily gardening, maintaning the enslaved workers in the house, hosting any family visitations, and dealing with medical issues like her fight with breast cancer.
Politics: In 1890, the house was facing threats of it being demolished, but all the local citizens worked together to help preserve it, which is the most earliest preservation that took place in Virginia. The house was desgined for a more private lifestyle for Mary Washington. All of her vistitations from those historical people from the Revolutionary war simbolized her role of the “Mother of the Revolutionary leader”.
Religion: Mary Washington was an imprtant member of Anglican Church whic was known as the ” Church of England”, Which she was a memebr of throughout all her years living in the Mary Wshington house. She waas known to be at the church for her daily devotionals, which included any private prayers and bible studies that took place inside her home at the Mary Washington house.
Physical Geography: Any aspects of Physical/Human Geography took place including maintaning a residential plot that was on the corner lot by her house and maintaning riverside lanscapes with the Rappohannock river for her Daughters home in Kenmore.
